Daniel Riera was born in Olot, Spain. He studied Fine Arts and photography at the University of Barcelona and cinema at the Escola De Mitjans Audiovisuals (EMAV).
Daniel regularly contributes fashion stories, portraits, and personal projects to publications such as Fantastic Man, The Gentlewoman, Vogue Hommes International, Spanish Vogue, WSJ, Vogue Turkey, GQ Style UK and Germany, Hercules Universal, Harper’s Bazaar U.S., Flair, Vanity Fair France, L’Express Styles, Kid's Wear, Candy, BUTT, Zeit Magazin and El Pais Semanal among others.
His advertising clients include Adidas, Avellaneda, Banana Republic, Biel-lo, Canali, COS, Dior, Hermès, Mango, Mühlbauer, M2Malletier, Nordstrom, Pedro García, Spastor, Theory, Tous, UNIQLO, Victorinox and Z Zegna among others.
Daniel has photographed many personalities including Gwyneth Paltrow, Samuel L.Jackson, Vincent Cassel, Michael Stipe, Alain-Fabien Delon, Ellar Coltane, Aaron Paul, Rossy de Palma, Gary Barlow, Rick Owens, Olivier Giroud, Gaspard Ulliel, Devendra Banhart, M.I.A., Mark Ronson, Max Irons, Proenza Schouler, Kellan Lutz, Nico Muhly, Paco Rabanne, Yasmin LeBon and Mr. Stan Smith. He has shot CD cover art for musicians such as Evripidis and his Tragedies, Kim Ann Foxman, Josep Xortó and The Congosound.
