Daniel Riera was born in Olot, Spain. He studied Fine Arts and photography at the University of Barcelona and cinema at the Escola De Mitjans Audiovisuals (EMAV).
Daniel regularly contributes fashion stories, portraits, and personal projects to publications such as Fantastic Man, The Gentlewoman, Spanish Vogue, GQ Style UK and Germany, Vogue Hommes International, Hercules Universal, Harper’s Bazaar U.S., Vanity Fair France, Candy, Melancolía and El Pais Semanal among others.
His advertising clients include Adidas, Belstaff, Corneliani, COS, Dior, Hermès, J.M.Weston, L.K.Bennett, Mango, Mühlbauer, M2Malletier, Nordstrom, Pedro García, Rossignol, Spastor, Theory, Tous, UNIQLO, Victorinox and Zegna among others.
Daniel has photographed many personalities including Samuel L.Jackson, Gwyneth Paltrow, Vincent Cassel, Michael Stipe, Alain-Fabien Delon, Ellar Coltane, Aaron Paul, Rossy de Palma, Nick Rhodes, Gary Barlow, Rick Owens, Olivier Giroud, Gaspard Ulliel, Devendra Banhart, Craig Green, M.I.A., Mark Ronson, James Ransone, Mènage-Á-Trois, Girlyboi, Proenza Schouler, Virgil Abloh, Kellan Lutz, Nico Muhly, Paco Rabanne, Marc Márquez, Isabel Coixet, Yasmin LeBon and Mr. Stan Smith. He has shot CD cover art for musicians such as Evripidis and his Tragedies, Kim Ann Foxman, Josep Xortó and The Congosound.
